Working Principles
  • This equipment works on FTIR. OenoFoss is handy and simple to use analytical solution measuring all essential parameters such as glucose/fructose, ethanol, pH, total acid, malic acid and volatile acid in wines. Colour intensity of wines also measured.

  • Analysis of finished wines.
Procedure Name
  • Infrared scanning of wine samples.
User Instructions
  1. Clear samples of finished wines.
  2. Clarify sample using a centrifuge or filtration. Particle size < 10 µm. In case of excess CO2 , degassing is necessary (e.g. use vacuum pump or ultrasonic treatment)
  3. Centrifuge the samples @ 5000 ppm for 5 minutes
  4. Ambient temperature 10°C - 35°C.
  5. Clean the cuvette and vessel properly.
  6. Clean with a regular tissue and commonly used detergent cleaning liquids.
