Germplasm developed

The Centre has the National Active Germplasm Site for grapes, which comprises seedless (including an exotic labrusca) and seeded table grape varieties, wine/juice cultivars, rootstock varieties/species, and seyve-villard hybrids.The germplasm is being maintained as active collection in a field block on Dogridge rootstock.

Germplasm and Field Gene Bank

ICAR-NRCG is recognized as a national active germplasm site for grapes and at present it holds 476 collections of grape. Out of these, 467 accessions are in fruiting stage. These genotypes were evaluated for bunch and berry parameters.
